Nokia Lumia 630 is coming windows 8.1

The Nokia Lumia 630 leaks continue, this time with video. The video is quite interesting because it gives us yet another look at the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update that will bear the name Cherry Pink Blossom for Nokia phones. The first video offers a short tour of the Lumia 630 hardware (including of the flash-less back), but focuses mostly on the software. The new Action Center is one of the major new features and has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth toggles, a camera shortcut and a brightness toggle. The second video demos how wallpapers work on WP8.1. We’ve known for a while that they are coming - the tiles become (fittingly) windows with the wallpaper showing through them. It’s interesting to see it in action though as there’s a parallax effect when scrolling. Microsoft BUILD starts on April 2 (that’s next Wednesday) when Windows Phone 8.1 will be officially unveiled, most likely along with the Lumia 630 and Lumia 930. The Nokia Lumia 630 ...

Nokia Lumia 930 Launching in 2nd quarter 2014 with Windows Phone 8.1

The next lineup for Nokia Lumia smartphones is expected to be unveiled next week at Microsoft’s BUILD 2014 developer conference, which is set to begin on April 2. The Finnish company did not announce any smartphones powered by Windows Phone operating system last month during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 trade fair. However, Nokia introduced its first Android smartphones, which will be launched on the market beginning this month. Nokia X, X+ and XL are aimed at emerging markets and have been priced accordingly. Still, the next Windows Phone devices are probably the most expected handsets to be announced by Nokia. For the time being, we have learned about two new smartphones that will be launched in early April, the Lumia 930 and Lumia 630. Codenamed Martini and Moneypenny, both smartphones are said to be powered by Windows Phone 8.1 operating system out of the box. In fact, these are likely to be the first handsets running this version of Microsoft’s mobile platform. Alt...

Windows 9 is coming

It seems only a few months have passed since Windows 8.1 was released, probably because it was, and we're already hearing about 'Threshold'. This is the next big update for Windows that is going to solve all of Microsoft's problems with adoption of its OS. Windows 9, as the next version is reported to be called, is no doubt a push to get more people to make the switch to the new Windows that Microsoft has so much riding on. The adoption to the current phase of Windows hasn't been great, according to Paul Thurrott of WinSuperSite. "But Threshold is more important than any specific updates. Windows 8 is tanking harder than Microsoft is comfortable discussing in public, and the latest release, Windows 8.1, which is a substantial and free upgrade with major improvements over the original release, is in use on less than 25 million PCs at the moment. That's a disaster, and Threshold needs to strike a better balance between meeting the needs of over a billi...

Apple iPhone 6 leaked with 8 MP resolution

Sources with some knowledge of the matter suggest that Apple will not be interested in increasing the megapixel count of its next iPhone smartphone camera. Instead Apple will likely focus on improving the lens system and image quality. Previous rumors suggested the iPhone 6 camera may be bumped to 10 MP with a faster F/1.8 aperture(the iPhone 5s is currently sporting an F/2.2 lens) so perhaps the aperture will remain. Rumors are circulating that Apple will use swappable resin lenses for its iPhone 6. Other rumors have suggested optical image stabilization but seeing how Apple is doing some clever gyro-based software tricks in the iPhone 5s to avoid OIS it seems unlikely the company will change its mind in the next flagship. If Apple indeed retains the 8 MP resolution which debuted on the iPhone 4S camera, it will go against the current trend of manufacturer increasing megapixel count in their smartphones' cameras recently. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi ...

upcoming lumia 530 leaked

Nokia ignored its Windows Phone hardware during Mobile World Congress, so we’re expecting it to reveal a selection of new Lumia-branded devices in the near future, potentially clearing the decks before Microsoft moves in. A new leak could have revealed one of the possible new releases, and it may be a replacement to the popular Lumia 520. A tweet from  @evleaks , an account where many new devices are leaked prior to announcement, says a Nokia phone codename Rock will eventually launch as the Lumia 530. Although no specifications are included in the tweet, if the model number is correct, it’ll be an affordable Windows Phone device. The Lumia 520, despite its modest specs, is by far the most used Windows Phone in the world. Data from AdDuplex at the end of last year indicated the little device had taken more than 30 percent of the market. Its nearest competitor was the Lumia 920, with an 8 percent share. This figure didn’t even include...

UPCOMING REVOLUTIONARY IPONE 6 TWEAKS LEAKED

iPhone 6 tipped with 389ppi 'Ultra-Retina' display, 5.59mm thickness New rumours have surfaced online for Apples upcoming iteration of the iPhone handset. The rumours hint the iPhone 6 will arrive with a much thinner body, powerful processor and a higher pixel density screen. The rumours come from Sonny Dickson, the Australian teen who rose to fame in the build up to the release of iPhone 5s with what turned out to be largely accurate leaks. Dickson, in one of his four tweets on the subject, said, "iPhone 6 will be 0.22 inches thick #JustSaying." The measurement barely comes around to 5.59mm, which is just 0.04mm thicker than what is claimed to be the world's slimmest handset, the Gionee Elife S5.5. Dickson also mentioned the inclusion of an Ultra-Retina screen, which will pack 389 pixels per inch (ppi). The tipster furthermore talked about the chipset that might arrive in the next Apple iPhone. "The new Apple A8 proce...

Samsung launches Galaxy S III mini Value Edition

Samsung has launched an updated version of its 17-month old Galaxy S III mini. It's called Samsung Galaxy S III mini Value Edition and is already on sale in the Netherlands.     Samsung Galaxy S III mini Value Edition The Samsung Galaxy S III Mini Value editions offers faster dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 processor and newer Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version. The rest of the specs remain intact. The Value Edition has quietly hit the shelves in the Netherlands last week and costs about €180. Main disadvantages of samsung galaxy grand 2

Only 5GB of inbuilt storage available to user out of box No KitKat at launch Overly reflective screen with poor sunlight legibility Then there's the battery, which is probably the best improvement of all - going from 2,100mAh to 2,600mAh, which should help make up for the larger, higher-res screen and the quad-core. As for the equally important issue of price - the Galaxy Grand 2 isn't priced too high, starting at around €250, while the Grand currently costs around €160. There's also a dual-SIM version - in fact the one we're reviewing is carrying the Duos label.       Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 live pictures Without doubt, Samsung has done a good job of making a credible package even more desirable. This is by no means a single pony race though, the Android landscape full of potential competitors, especially in this price range. Sony has contenders of its own and HTC will want to have a say too, while Samsung itself offers plenty of choice. The Galaxy Grand ...

Nokia X Android smartphone set to launch in India on March 10

Nokia has sent media invites for an event scheduled for 10 March 2014 in New Delhi, where the Finnish giant is expected to unveil its first Android smartphone, the Nokia X. The invite (below) says, "Nokia India cordially invites you to Xperience a new beginning!" where the 'X' letter has been highlighted, suggesting that the company might reveal the pricing and availability details of the Nokia X Android smartphone. The invite further informs that Nokia India's VP and MD, P. Balaji will be attending the event. As of now, no other details related to the event have been revealed. We expect that the company might also announce availability details of the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, which was launched alongside Nokia X at the MWC 2014. On Wednesday, Nokia's first Android smartphone, the Nokia X, was spotted at an online retailer in India, with a price of Rs. 8,500. The retailer claimed that the Nokia X smartphone would be available from 15 March 2014....

BAD NEWS FOR UK HTC USERS ,HTC One KitKat update suspended in the UK

An unknown number of users in the UK have reported undesirable behavior after installing the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the HTC One, which has resulted in the company temporarily suspending the OTA update. This comes quite a while after the update hit the UK on February 24, and it's unclear if the issues take longer than usual to develop or if there's another reason why the company has taken so long to react. HTC has issued the following statement: "We are aware that a limited number of HTC users are experiencing difficulties with the KitKat update. As a result, all FOTA updates have been temporarily suspended. HTC is committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience and we are working hard to resolve the issue quickly." No specifics into what exactly is so mission critical as to cause an OTA suspension, but it's likely specific to the region as similar KitKat rollouts to US and other areas have not been recalled.

Nokia Lumia 930 coming on April 19

Nokia announced its Android-powered phones at the Mobile World Congress, but the rumored Lumia 930 and Lumia 630/635 were nowhere to be seen. Nokia might be saving those for a separate event on April 19. News of the event comes from popular rumor source  @evleaks . The date might not be a coincidence – two weeks earlier, Microsoft will be holding the BUILD conference. It is expected to bring Windows Phone 8.1 with the Cortana virtual assistant and Start screen backgrounds. According to rumors, the Lumia 930 will be similar to the Lumia Icon / 929 but for GSM networks and possibly with a 4.5" screen instead of a 5" one. The Lumia 630/635 will succeed the Lumia 620 and offer slightly higher-end specs than the 525, including dual-SIM (WP8.1 is supposed to add support for it). The Verizon Wireless Nokia Lumia Icon has gained a lot of interest from consumers away from the  US, and it would make sense for Nokia to launch a version for the globa...
